Biography

Dr. Rashid Mahmood did his M.Sc. and M.Phil. Applied Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in 1992 and 1994 resp. He was offered fellowship for M.Sc. Nuclear Engineering from PIEAS in 1994. After completing the fellowship in 1996, he joined Computer Division, PINSTECH. In 1998 he went to England for Ph.D. after winning the Merit Scholarship from Ministry of Education, Pakistan. In 2002, he completed his Ph.D. in Scientific Computing from School of Computing, Leeds University, UK. In 2004, he went for Post-DOC fellowship to Leeds University. After returning from UK in 2006, he joined Plasma Physics Division, PINSTEH. In February, 2011 he was transferred to Directorate General of Safety (DOS), PAEC HQrs. In 2014 he was appointed Manager at DOS. In 2015 he went for Post-Doc Fellowship at Nottingham University. He is in PIEAS since April 27, 2021. In 2015 he went for Post-Doc Fellowship at Nottingham University, sponsored by HEC. He is in PIEAS since April 27, 2021.
